Orgasms Seem A Bit Fishy For Female Brown Trout
STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Biologists at Sweden's National Board of Fisheries have discovered
that female trout frequently fake orgasms. After watching 117 pairs of trout couple in an
aquarium, the biologists concluded that female trout deceived males on 69 occasions. Under
usual spawning circumstances, a pair of trout would simultaneously release eggs and sperm to
maximize the chances of fertilization. However, in many cases they witnessed the female holding
back at the last minute to see if a "superior male" would come along. This tactic is said to be
an insurance policy against male in- fertility.

Man Blames Drunk-Driving On Fire-Eating Class
CALIFORNIA - A California resident has come up with a legiti- mate reason to test above the
legal alcohol limit for drunk driving. When police officers pulled over magician Randall Richman,
they claim his eyes were bloodshot, he could barely stand, smelled of alcohol and neglected to
carry his license. A breath test estimated Richman's alcohol level to be twice the legal limit, but the
magician maintains that he had been teaching a fire-eating class in Hollywood just prior to being
stopped. The case will go to court on April 12, when the 32- year-old will contest the breath test.
Richman will argue that there were three types of lighter fluid detected, not alcohol. Perhaps by
April, Richman will come up with an explanation for the bloodshot eyes...

Disciplinary Action Lands Teacher in Hot Water
NARATHIWAT, Thailand - A teacher in Thailand landed in a "wee" bit of trouble after
admitting she ordered five boys to drink their own urine. The group of 10 and
11-year-old boys suppos- edly admitted to Somporn Khunkliang that they left a urine-
filled bottle outside their classroom. The teacher punished the boys by making them
drink the urine. Khunkliang is now under investigation by education officials and
disciplinary action against her has yet to be announced.

Vicious Guard Llamas New Trend
BURNHAM, Pa. - When Pennsylvania sheep farmer Guy McCardle was given a llama
as payment for doing some work, he thought he might buy another one and breed them.
But when he found out the animal had been gelded he was at a loss as to what to do
with it. That was until the llama displayed its talent as a guard animal. It seems the
llama had developed a unique affection for McCardle's sheep and would chase stray
dogs and coyotes away from the flock. While McCardle discovered his llama's
proficiency by accident, thousands of sheep pro- ducers around the country are buying
llamas with the goal of using them to guard their flocks.

Hocus Pocus 'Spells' Death For Ghana Man
GHANA - Perhaps a twenty-three-year old Ghana man should have asked for an
intelligence spell instead. Aleobiga Aberima, was reportedly shot dead by a fellow
villager while testing a magic spell designed by a witchdoctor to make him bulletproof.
After smearing his body with a concoction of herbs every day for two weeks,
Aberima volunteered to be shot to check if the spell had worked. Aberima died
instantly from a single bullet. After the shooting, villagers began to beat the witchdoctor
severely until a village elder rescued him.

Dung Shower Makes A Splash On Utah Home
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The feces definitely hit the fan and every other part of a home
in Utah. A shower of dung from an reportedly unknown source covered two sides of the
home, the backyard and a hot tub. When similar blobs hit homes in Salt Lake County in
spring 1999, homeowners blamed aircraft for dumping septic tanks in flight. But in this last
incident, the mess was devoid of tell-tale blue chemicals used in plane's toilets, and officials
from the Federal Aviation Administration maintain that aircraft do not have the ability to
empty their tanks while flying.

Murder and Conspiracy In Troy, Michigan
TROY, Michigan - Billie Jean Rogers, 61, is charged with first-degree murder in suburban Detroit,
Michigan, for smother- ing her husband. The victim, Donald Rogers, 74, had a high alcohol
content at the time of his death, as well as a pre- existing heart problem. Thus, the cause of his
death was originally undetermined. However, an accomplice to the murder eventually leaked the
details of the crime. Billie Jean Rogers and her nephew, now Vonlee Titlow, 33 of Chicago,
allegedly plotted to murder the husband to obtain money for a sex change operation for him.
After the death, Billie Jean Rogers gave Titlow $70,000 for the operation and a luxury sedan.
Titlow, who has now also been charged with first-degree murder, slipped the details to a man
she was dating.

Robbery Suspects Strike Out On Escape Route
The Red Sox couldn't pull out a win against the Yankees Sunday night, but their loyal fans
thronging to Fenway Park unwittingly helped police snag a pair of alleged robbers who struck
out in their choice of escape routes, authorities said today. Police said they arrested John C.
Campell Jr., 32, of Watertown, and Earl C. Williams, 38, of Winthrop, fleeing a holdup at a local
supermarket after the pair became snarled in traffic headed for Game 4 of the American
League Championship Series.

TALLAHASSEE, Florida - A 19-year-old delivery boy thought he was making a routine run the
night he was sent to take a chicken wing order to a hotel. However, a group of 15 women who
were having a party thought differently. Thinking he was their stripper, the women began groping

follow-up on the claim, and the women thought he was the stripper, too.

Baaaaad Lamb Shoots Sleeping Shepard
SIDI BARRANI, Egypt - Next time you lay down to take a nap among your flock of sheep,
make sure none of them have a grudge against you. Egyptian shepherd Mokhtar Adam Fadl
should have followed this advice for he was shot dead - by one of his own sheep while he slept.
According to the police, the animal killed Fadl by kicking his gun and accidentally firing it.
The shot hit the slumbering sheep herder in the chest. The gun was reportedly confiscated.
No arrests were made.

Man Mauled While Using Litter Box
China - A group of Bengal tigers were not happy when their keeper tried to use their
"litter box." Xu Xiaodong, 19, appears to have climbed the railings of the Bengal tiger
cage and pulled his trousers down. Evidence at the scene of the death at the Jinan
animal park included toilet paper, excrement and a trouser belt. Zoo officials found the
young man's blood soaked body lying on the ground surrounded by tigers. Police
believe Xu climbed the wall of a partially constructed building used to raise the tigers
to relieve himself. They said the smell probably caused the tigers to pounce.

A North Carolina man, having bought several expensive cigars, insured
them against... get this... fire.
After he had smoked them, he then decided that he had a claim against
the insurance company and filed. The insurance company refused to
pay, citing the obvious reason that the man had consumed the cigar
normally.
The man sued. The judge stated that since the company had insured
the cigars against fire, they were obligated to pay.
After the man accepted payment for his claim, the company then had
him arrested ..... for arson.
